Seeing as both Lycoris and Sugary Days had their deban this month, it's about time Ordinal Scale got some of the spotlight as well. Although we've finished the main story already, we still have the Hopeful Chant adaptation to look forward to.
This chapter adapts half of part 5 of Hopeful Chant with a more detailed scene of Nautilus being excluded from the boss raid. This chapter may have skipped some minor details (such as Nautilus hunkering down in an inn again) from the original story, but nothing really significant, so it's a decent adaptation. Just like with Ex2, I took this chance to revise the dialogue of the original translation while working on the manga adaptation to sound better, so don't be surprised that the text doesn't match your PDF files of HC's original translation. Still need to find the time to clean up up the narration as well someday.
Now, with this chapter, we have finally finished the translation of the Ordinal Scale manga's final volume. The final chapter of Hopeful Chant didn't make it in time for the tankoubon release, so Ex3 ends on a cliffhanger with a timeskip to Eiji having returned to the real world. However, the missing chapter 4 was later released separately on Comic Walker, so you'll still get a proper conclusion to the Hopeful Chant adaptation!
