Seeing as A-1 messed up the moment that KiriAsu fans have been waiting for the past 42 episodes last week, we figured it would be best to have a plan B in case they messed up this week's episode too. So, we bring you the epilogue chapter of the Ordinal Scale manga to fulfil your KiriAsu needs.
This chapter covers the entirety of the post-boss-battle aftermath (1:46:07 and onwards from the movie, including the post-credits scene). This finishes up the adaptation of the movie itself, but there are still two more Extra Chapters (Hopeful Chant adaptation) to go.
The manga shuffled the order of some scenes at the beginning and added some monologues for Yuna during her final song. During Yuna's explanation, the line about AINCRAD's language engine was replaced with a line about how Tetsuhiro believed the boss guaranteed safety for Yuna. For some reason, Kirito's reaction of disbelief was given to Silica. Yuna also got more lines for Eiji too, probably because the artist could now reference Hopeful Chant/Cordial Chords, unlike the movie, so Eiji got a bit more closure here. And that's pretty much all that was changed, excluding some announcer lines getting axed. So, only some extra monologue lines and some minor changes all in all. Oh, and the quote from the second edition of the SAO book got moved to the end of the manga, so we'll probably release it with the next chapter (Ex3).
