As some of you may already know, the Lycoris manga got axed out of the blue with the 16th chapter of the manga this Friday. The manga had only just finished covering the second chapter of the game's main story arc (the southern empire plotline). It's a shame that this happened and we don't even know the exact reason behind the axing, but since our translation is currently at c14, while c15 is already translated and currently in editing, we'll be finishing this project to the very end in the coming weeks.

We were planning to release the first chapter of the Canon of the Golden Rule manga this week. Unfortunately, our typesetter has apparently had some real life issues, so we didn't manage to prepare the chapter for release in time. So, in light of the axing of the Lycoris manga, I decided to pull out a little Lycoris side-project I never got around to finishing up until now.

For context, since we were mostly up-to-date with Lycoris for a while, we continued our translation from the monthly releases on Comic Walker, rather than waiting for the final tankoubon version of the chapters. When the tankoubon did come out, we decided that it was too much hassle to redo the redraws and typesetting on the tankoubon raws, so instead we decided to just make a list of changes done to the chapters on this post. Some changes were pretty minor and had zero effect on the translation, other changes corrected various errors in dialogue order and wording... and chapter 10 basically got a revamp for some panels, because the artist apparently rushed the original release so much that he forgot to do the backgrounds and shadings.

Also, each tankoubon comes with an afterword... and this one in particular also comes with some bonuses, so we decided to translate those too. One of the bonuses is a 4-koma manga where Quinella goes meta and makes fun of gameverse Kirito and game ratings...

We're not sure when we'll be able to release Canon c1. We'll probably just continue with our release schedule as is and just make an extra release slot for Canon whenever the files are done and reviewed. So, next week we're planning a Comic Anthology release, unless something else ruins our plans again.
