Today, the 6th of November (in Japan) marks the day Sword Art Online was officially released in the SAO universe, so it's the perfect day for an SAO translation release. Seeing as the Sugary Days and Comic Anthology projects both had their debans lately, I guess it's time for Lycoris to get its monthly spotlight.

This chapter finishes adapting the interlude between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the game (the long cutscene after the Administrator battle). However, since the manga wants to make Lycoris all about Eugeo, it has taken quite a few liberties. Basically, the first 11 pages consist of basically entirely original content that exalts Eugeo (making him the party leader, emphasising that he managed to beat Bercouli etc.). Pages 12-24 are a combination of the actual in-game interlude cutscene and Recollection 47 "Alice's Conflict", a supplemental event that was supposed to take place in the middle of the giant arc of the game. Finally, pages 25-26 are just teasers for Chapter 2 content with some Renly and Scheta deban. So, the manga is making good on its word of making Eugeo the main character of the story, but to achieve that, it's only loosely adapting the story of the game, so take that as you will. It does have some nice reactions, at the very least.

At this moment, the raws for the Lycoris magna are at chapter 10, but there won't be any Lycoris release for November in Japan, as the artist is working on compiling the already-released chapters into the second tankoubon. I finished translating chapter 10 the other day and since we're starting to lack content to release, we'll probably making a second Lycoris release this month to fill in one of the slots, which means we'll be fully caught up with the raws by the end of the month.

Seeing as we don't have any manga ready for release next week, I'm planning to finish up the Sugary Days epilogue for it instead. The two other November slots will likely be taken by a Lycoris and Comic Anthology release... but since neither of them are actually ready for release yet, we have yet to confirm our releases for the rest of November. I'm going to need to consider taking up some more manga projects... maybe I'll do the Material Edition:Remix manga...
